DDR Takes in 40 Dogs from Colorado Puppy Mill Rescue
Working with the Bissell Pet Foundation, Detroit Dog Rescue flew in 40 schnauzer mixes rescued from a large-scale puppy mill cruelty case in Colorado. The dogs — many of whom had never been touched or heard a kind word — arrived in Detroit matted, confused, and in need of extensive care. DDR immediately called on fosters and volunteers to help give each dog its first real home experience.
